Coming down heavily on the TDP and the section of media supporting it, YSR Congress has said the duo is trying to spin a story out of nothing at a time when the case against Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is weakening.
?When the Chief Minister's comments in the assembly and other proceedings point out that there is no case against Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, TDP leaders have been parroting the single-minded version of what the section of the media has published about auditor Vijay Sai Reddy without verifying facts,? party official spokesperson Gattu Ramachandra Rao told reporters on Wednesday.
"A day after the media house publishes a mischievous story about Vijay Sai Reddy, auditor of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy?s companies, TDP leaders pop up at a press conference, repeating the same version and hurling the same accusations - that Vijaya Sai Reddy was recommended by YSR for the post of RBI's director, and also that of the TTD and of OBC," said Rao.
He went to say, "Every bank intends to have an auditor on its board. If that is wrong, then the TDP, way back in 2000, had nominated D Sitaramaiah, auditor of NTR, for being the RBI's director, Southern region, the TTD chairmanm and also the director of APIDC.
"Vijay Sai Reddy, during his stint as the director of a bank, was instrumental in getting loans for Bharathi Cements. Banks always give loans to well-functioning and good business houses like Bharathi Cements, and this is known to TDP leaders and the media house in question, as well," he said. (INN)
