TDP has suspended party MLC Boddu Bhaskara Rama Rao on the grounds of anti-party activities.
The MLC had met Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy today at Chanchalguda jail, and was hence axed from the party.
Rama Rao, who had called on YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy in the Chanchalguda Jail here on Thursday, had confirmed his exit from the TDP after the visit, and had held party chief N Chandrababu Naidu's dictatorial attitude as being responsible for his decision. He also said that Naidu's stand on Telangana was another reason that led him to quit the Telugu Desam Party.
Rama Rao had claimed that only Jagan Mohan Reddy could revive welfare schemes launched by former chief Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
Rao met Jagan along with his son Venkataramana. He told reporters that youth are with Jagan and that they want to work with him. YSRCP will be a right plank for launching my son's political career, he said.
The MLC will formally join the YSRCP in the next few days.(INN)
