Absconding TDP MLA Miffed With Party
In order to evade arrest, Chintamaneni, who feels that false charges are being pressed on him, did not even come out from "underground" to campaign for the co-op polls.
Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar is reportedly hurt by the fact that his party Telugu Desam did not support him or defend him.
His "gunman" Gopikrishna has already been arrested on charges of having manhandled Pedavegi SI Mohan Rao a week back. Meanwhile, the TDP MLA, against whom a non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued, has been absconding since 6 days.
The SI, who had been conducting a raid on gamblers, was allegedly attacked by Chintamaneni's aide.
Meanwhile, dalit groups are crying out for Chintamaneni's arrest, and have booked cases against him under various sections including SC/ST atrocity.
In order to evade arrest, Chintamaneni, who feels that false charges are being pressed on him, did not even come out from "underground" to campaign for the co-op polls.
The MLA's followers are miffed with their party for not having stood by him in his hour of need. They are conducting a district-wide TDP meeting in Eluru to decide whether or not to distance themselves from the party.
It has also been reported that Chintamaneni himself has been trying to contact CM Kiran Kumar Reddy to seek his intervention.
