Talasani Promises Modern Fish Market In Begum Bazaar
Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said a modern fish market would come up at a cost of Rs 5.25 crores at Begum Bazaar.

Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that a modern fish market would be constructed at a cost of Rs 5.25 crores in Begum Bazaar, falling under the Goshamahal Assembly constituency.
Talasani along with local MLA Raja Singh, GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy and other officials laid the foundation for the fish market, and said that it would be equipped with all the latest facilities.
He also said that the new market, coming up in 980 sq metres of space, was being designed as a building with a multi-level parking facility, and that several traders would be given spaces to set up individual shops in it. The market would have cellar parking, wholesale stores, cold storage, retail stores, a processing section and a canteen, he said.
The minister said that the GHMC and the National Fisheries Development Corporation would bear the cost of the project by providing sums of Rs 3 crores and Rs 2.25 crores respectively for it. He urged the people to cooperate with the GHMC to enable the constant maintainance and upgradation of the facilities.
The government was mulling setting up similar new markets in L B Nagar and West Marredpally of Secunderabad, too, he added.
