Take Relief Measures In Cyclone Hit Areas: CS

Telangana Chief Secretary S K Joshi today directed the Collectors of the districts affected by Cyclone Phethai to take all the necessary relief measures.

Telangana Chief Secretary S K Joshi today directed the Collectors of the districts affected by Cyclone Phethai to take all the necessary measures to ensure the safety of and provide succour to the people affected by the cyclone.

He asked the Collectors of Adilabad, Asifabad, Bhadrachalam, Bhupalpally, Jagtial, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Nirmal and Peddapalle to rush medicines and clothes, and open rehabilitation centres to provide support to the affected people.

Joshi conducted a video conference from the Secretariat and said that the Collectors needed to gear up for providing immediate help to the victims of the cyclone, and instructed them on the rehabilitation measures to be taken up.

Joshi also asked the Collectors to involve local leaders and take help from voluntary organizations to help the people.

Both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have come under the grip of Cyclone Phethai, even as a cold wave continues to bite at the people.
