The Congress leaders from Telangana region have demanded a special package for the new Telangana state that will be formed after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
In their views submitted to the Group of Ministers (GoM) through PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana, the Telangana Congress leaders have demanded a "National Project" status for Pranahita-Chevella and Palamuru projects.
They also demanded that the Centre set up one medical college in all the district headquarters. Further, they sought a specialty university on health, aviation, women and other sectors.
The Telangana Congress leaders also said that a special area can be de-marked, to run the administration of residual State of AP from Hyderabad as the joint capital for a limited period. (INN)
