Actress In Nithyananda Scandal?

Nithyananda's ashram claims the alleged sex scandal is a mixture of "conspiracy, graphics and rumour"
Hyderabad | 4th March 2010
The 22-minute video showing the bedroom exploits of who is claimed to be godman Swami Nithyananda has been labelled a conspiracy by Nithyananda's ashram, but it is being widely believed that the woman in the video is a Tamil actress.

When the video hit the airwaves, there was chaos in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka over the sex scandal, even as the ashram claimed that "a mix of conspiracy, graphics and rumour are at play in these recent events that have unfolded."

Chennai and Coimbatore saw protests by the angry public, and disciples in his ashrams were also roughed up. The Tamil Nadu CM, too, said a committee consisting of members if the Hindu Religious And Charitable Endowment Department and other officials would be set up to probe the alleged Nithyananda fraud.

Meanwhile, Premananda alias Lenin Karupan, an inmate of Nithyananda's ashram, was blamed by the swami for morphing his picture for defamatory purposes.

Swami Nithyananda has conducted programs conducted in Hyderabad, too, and has volunteers in the city.

It's quite unfortunate that the media is making a furore about this:

1. Did anybody even get the Swami's version? Several people can make fraudulent sex tapes featuring almost anyone, especially if poor quality ones where things are not crystal clear can be passed off as genuine.

2. Even if the Swami did have sex, what is wrong? Who said teachers of meditation techniques, and social workers, cannot have sex? Did he take advantage of anyone or force anyone?

3. What is the religion of the people who own the channel that first showed this tape? Has the chennel ever run such stories in all its existence, and with the same degree of sensation, about non-Hindu religious leaders?

I read somewhere that India is the only country where the majority community is persecuted.

For all informed and intelligent people, who seek to find truth and not mindlessly believe crap shown by Indian media, here are scientific proofs and research on Paramahamsa Nithyananda.

@Vivek: The link that you gave is indeed a good article. I urge everyone to take the trouble of reading it.

I agree that Hindus are usually the worst enemies of Hinduism, in how they let their religion get slandered and keep quiet under the garb of broad-mindedness and tolerance.

Broad-mindedness and tolerance are a legitimate option for you when the opposite - counter-action - is also an option for you. I believe that most people hiding behind those concepts are actually cowards, who just want a peaceful life and do not want to torment themselves for any causes as far as possible. Counter-action is not an option for them, and they use the ideas of broad-mindedness and tolerance to cover up their cowardice - and, in the case of many such people, to live in denial themselves about their cowardice.

The problem is even more acute in the case of the current young crop of educated Hindus who try so hard to blend into Western values so they can belong in their peer groups, who try so hard never to be discovered praying or found inside a temple (no Muslim or Christian ever has that problem), and who so wisely say that they are spiritual but not religious, without understanding crap about what either of them means.

Most of these people do not understand just what Hindusim is doing for them that they take for granted, and that they will realize only if the religion suddenly vanished tomorrow.

I really do not know whether the stuff about Swami Nithyananda is true - though the presence of a video makes it look at this stage like the allegations are true - but I can understand that the media would not have jumped with so much glee and been so free with its judgements instead of sticking merely to facts, if the same allegations were levelled against a respected mullah. The media too comprises mostly cowards, who attack soft targets - peace-seeking Hindus who they know will not stand up against calumny against their own religion.

Nithyananda has healed and helped millions of people around the world. This is not the first time a character assassination has happened in Tamil Nadu against humanitarian beings. In 2004, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi was assassinated the same way. Later on, everyone found out the truth that it was politically motivated conspiracy and withdrew and apologized for the rumors that spread. Hold your judgement until the legal process is started and the truth arises.

i thought all this was slander until i just heard a shocking story about a certain famous baba who AP is home to. a male relative of someone i know had studied in the school at that place, and was sexually abused - 4 times a week - by the Great Man himself. this guy was actually told by other devotees that he's very fortunate to be chosen for pleasure-giving, since the rest keep trying to please him but in vain. and that's not all - apparently this whole thing is pretty common there. i know this story is true because of the source that it came from.

what is happening? who r people blindly worshipping?

The video seems totally real. I almost believed it until a friend gave some simple pointers.

If some one puts some logic and views the video a couple of times.. it can be easily observed that the video is a great piece of editing/manipulation. It is made-believe by putting in a small part of the original Swami's clip of drinking water. If closely observed, the rest of the video does not have the quality purposely so that the person's face cannot be clearly seen.

Even the mixing was good but there is a glitch where the lady offering a glass of water suddenly wheres her duppatta differently and the camera view changes in height when the vulgar scenes are pasted on. This can be observed by watching the video as three differnt bits.
