Telangana Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy today instructed the concerned health officials to provide Covid-19 vaccines and oxygen to Suryapet Hospital.
During a stocktaking visit to the hospital, where he reviewed the Covid-19 treatment facilities, he instructed officials, including health director G Srinivas Rao and other officials, to procure adequate stocks of Covaxin and Covishield injections for the vaccination program.
He advised both ailing patients and the public to remain courageous in the face of the pandemic, or any other difficulty, and said, "With our mental strength, we can overcome the problem of Covid-19. We must avoid panicking, however, and remain cautious. Do not attend any crowded social gatherings, please. Also, there is no compulsion to visit corporate hospitals for treatment - the government will offer help to all Covid-19 patients."
While interacting with the doctors and staff of the hospital, the minister asked them to treat all serious Covid-19 patients as a priority. He then spoke to the patients and asked them about the treatment facilities and the service of the healthcare staff.
Following Reddy's instructions, the health officials promised to send adequate stocks of both vaccines, of medical oxygen, and of beds to the hospital soon.
