Former RTC chairman and staunch Y S Jaganmohan Reddy supporter Gone Prakash Rao on Saturday demanded that transport minister Botsa Satyanarayana withdraw his remarks against the former Kadapa MP and also stop from claiming that he was the political heir of the former chief minister.
Talking to media persons at the Assembly premises, Gone said that Botsa had claimed that he was the true political heir of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and had also made allegations against Jaganmohan Reddy that he was damaging YSR's image by telecasting adverse television programs.
Taking a critical view of Botsa Satyanarayana's charge, Gone Prakash Rao warned the minister that if he continued with the vilification campaign against Jaganmohan Reddy, people would stop believing him and start leaving the Congress party in support of the former Kadapa MP.
Gone added that, very soon, if this trend continues, the Congress will lose its base in Andhra Pradesh.
He added that the next elections to the posts in civic bodies will witness a political tussle between Jagan's party and the TRS in Telangana, and the TDP pitted against Jagan's party in the Seemandhra regions.
