There is an increase of 1,026 schools securing 100% results, compared to 2011.
Girls outperformed boys in the Secondary School Certificate examination in the state, with a pass percentage of 88.76 as against the boys' 86.97%.
Releasing the results at the Board of Secondary Education, secondary education minister K Parthasarathy said that 9,22,121 candidates have cleared the examination in the regular category, out of 10,49,689 candidates who appeared, taking the overall pass percentage to 87.84.
He said that the pass percentage has increased by 4.74 this year, compared to the last year.
The pass percentage of private students stood at 44.83. Of 2,27,327 candidates who appeared in the bprivate category, 1,01,930 candidates cleared the exams, registering a pass percentage of 44.83.
Stating that 3,588 schools secured 100% results this year, Parthasarathy said that there was an increase of 1,026 schools securing 100% results, compared to 2011.
However, he said that 15 schools had secured "zero" percent results this year.
He said that Karimnagar district secured the highest pass percentage of 93.88, followed by Kadapa and Nalgonda, while Hyderabad registered the lowest pass percentage of 76.94.
Stating that the grade system has been introduced from this year, he said that the grade point averages are shown in the memos or performance statements.
Parthasarathi said that supplementary examinations for failed students would be held from 20 June to 3 July, from 9:30am to 12 noon.
The last date for remitting the examination fee is 11 June. Candidates who wish to get their marks re-counted should remit Rs. 500 per subject within 15 days from the date of publication of the results. (INN)
