Reiterating that the Srikrishna Committee would submit its report before December-end, Member Secretary V K Duggal said the commission members were busy with the process of compiling data as the consultations process was over.
Talking to media persons after the completion of committee members meeting at Vignan Bhavan in New Delhi, Duggal said there was no need for committee members to visit Hyderabad at that stage as the consultations process was over.
Duggal said that the members were busy in compiling data and would submit their report to Centre by December 30th or 31st.
"The compiling of data is delayed by 15 days. However, the committee will submit report by December end to the Centre," Duggal stated.
The committee met 2,000 people and covered 35 villages to elicit views on the situation in the State, Duggal said, adding that the committee would look into all angles and respect the sentiments of all people before submitting its views on the situation of the State to Centre.
The Home Minister and Centre have to take a final decision on the report, the Member-Secretary said.
