In a significant development, BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today approached the Telangana High Court challenging the findings of the Kaleshwaram Commission report.
In his petition, he alleged that the report was riddled with factual errors, and was prepared primarily to serve the political agenda of the ruling Congress government.
Along with KCR, former Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao too filed a separate petition before the court, seeking a stay on the implementation of the Commission's report.
Both leaders argued that the inquiry was politically motivated and lacked impartiality.
It may be recalled that the State Cabinet recently approved the report submitted by Justice P C Ghose, who headed the Kaleshwaram Commission. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, defending the report, said it had been prepared after an analytical investigation and that the government would soon table it in the State Assembly. He added that views from all political parties would be taken into consideration during the Assembly discussion.
