The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSTRC) Ranga Reddy Regional Manager Vinod Kumar on Friday stated that corporation was running 390 special services from the state capital to various districts across the state from April 1 to April 3, to mark the Telugu New Year Ugadi celebrations.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Kumar said that efforts were on to restore the online ticket reservation facilities on the website of the corporation. He expressed confidence that the online reservation of tickets would be restored by late Friday night at 49 bus depots across the state, and added that 13 booking counters are now functional in the Greater Hyderabad city limits.
Kumar pointed out that the corporation was not making e-bookings as the official website, www.apsrtc.in, was down since Thursday morning due to transition in the systems. The problem was caused due to the franchisee of the website being shifted after the contract with the previous one expiring. He appealed to passengers to cooperate with the corporation.
Kumar added that APSRTC will be launching the new reservation system from April 2, and that e-tickets would be made available on www.apsrtconnect.in from April 15.
