Telangana Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary today wooed the farmers by dancing for a while during a Rythu Bandhu cheque distribution program at Kompally in Jayashankar-Bhupalapally district here.
Along with Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, TS Farmers' Coordination Panel Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy and others, Srinivas Reddy and Chary entertained the farmers, most of them women, in the public meeting by dancing for some time.
Amused by that, the womenfolk also shook their hands.
The Speaker said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was determined to turn each farmer into a king, and that cash distribution through Rythu Bandhu was just the latest example.
Srinivas Reddy claimed that Telangana was number one in welfare schemes, and that Rythu Bandhu would ensure a boost in the farming activity.
Tribal Welfare Minister A Chandulal, and MPs Sitharam Naik and Dayakar were also present.
