Speaker Rejects Resignations Of 13 Seemandhra MPs
Of the 13 MPs whose resignations were rejected, 10 belong to the Congress party, 2 are from the YSRCP, and 1 is from the TDP.

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Friday rejected the resignations of 13 MPs from the Seemandhra region.
Of the 13 MPs whose resignations were rejected, 10 belong to the Congress party, 2 are from the YSRCP, and 1 is from the TDP.
The MPs whose resignations, submitted in protest against the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, have been rejected are Lagadapati Rajagopal, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, Undavalli Arun Kumar, K Bapiraju, S P Y Reddy, A Sai Prathap, Anantha Venkatarami Reddy, Harsha Kumar, Magunta Srinivas Reddy, Sabbam Hari, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, Mekapati Rammohan Reddy and K Narayana.
The MPs had earlier met the Speaker in person, requesting her to accept the resignations.
It may be mentioned that Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal even approached the Delhi High Court seeking its intervention in acceptance of resignation. The case's next hearing is scheduled on October 22. (INN)
