Siddipet Joins List Of Open Defecation-Free Districts

Siddipet joined the list of Open Defecation-Free (ODF) districts of Telangana, on World Toilet Day on Sunday.

Siddipet joined the list of Open Defecation-Free (ODF) districts of Telangana, on World Toilet Day on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao said that the district administration had constructed an adequate number of individual toilets (a total of 26,294) in just 26 days to attain the target.

Appreciating the efforts of district Collector Venkatram Reddy in making the district Open Defecation-Free, Rao said that all the districts should replicate this model in order to create a healthy Telangana.

The minister also patted the officials concerned for their efforts in achieving the ODF tag.
