Hundreds of pro-Telangana activists stormed the streets of Hyderabad to celebrate the passing of the Telangana Bill in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
Hundreds of TRS workers, who gathered at the Telangana Bhavan since morning, started celebrations immediately after the Lok Sabha passed a Bill through voice vote. Although there was some confusion after the live telecast of Lok Sabha was stopped after 3pm, but the crowd closely followed news channels and began celebrations soon after news that the Bill has been passed was flashed. Sweets were distributed, and TRS workers shouted slogans, praising their party president K Chandrasekhar Rao. They claimed that Telangana is now a reality due to the continuous struggle of KCR.
Celebrations were also held at the offices of Bharatiya Janata Party, Telangana Political Joint Action Committee and other pro-Telangana groups. Several pro-Telangana activists came on the streets with Telangana flags and pink flags, shouting slogans of victory. (INN)
