Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan today said that she was not against anyone, and that returning Bills to the State government was not her intention.
The Governor said that she had no intention of rejecting the Bills, and that there were sound reasons for her returning the Bills that she did.
Speaking to the media at Raj Bhavan, Soundararajan also expressed concern over the loss of lives and damage caused to the crops and properties due to the recent floods, and said that she would soon visit the flood-affected areas to take stock of the situation.
"Some political parties have approached me and submitted memoranda seeking that I order the State government to take swift action in the relief measures. I have asked the State government to send me a report on the damage caused to crops and properties. Once I receive the report from the government, I will submit it to the union government seeking immediate help. At the same time, I will also soon visit the flood-affected areas to take stock of the situation at the ground level," Soundararajan said.
