Cong. RS Candidates Get Seemandhra Ministers Support

Congress ministers from Seemandhra region on Tuesday made it clear that they would support the official candidates of Congress party in the Rajya Sabha elections.

Speaking to media persons, ministers T G Venkatesh and Kasu Krishna Reddy dismissed the reports that they might support the rebel candidates of Congress party.

Venkatesh said that there is no question of supporting the rebel candidates and accused a section of the media of spreading baseless rumours.

He warned that he would lodge a criminal complaint against those misusing his name.

Krishna Reddy too expressed similar views and said that his family was associated with the Congress party for the last 3 generations.

He said that he would remain loyal to the Congress in all circumstances.

However, T G Venkatesh said that he wouldn't hesitate to quit the Congress party if it goes ahead with the division of Andhra Pradesh by meting out injustice to the people of the Seemandhra region. (INN)
