Seemandhra Leaders Must Also Be At Telangana Meet
Stating that he was in favour of United Andhra, Primary Education Minister S Sailajanath said that the Seemandhra leaders should be given an opportunity to express their views.
Primary Education Minister S Sailajanath on Thursday demanded that the Seemandhra leaders should also be sent for the all-party meeting on Telangana being held in New Delhi on December 28.
Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party here, Sailajanath said that the High Command also needs to send a pro-united Andhra Pradesh representative to represent the Congress in the all-party meeting. Stating that he was in favour of United Andhra, he said that the Seemandhra leaders should be given an opportunity to express their views.
Praising the Chief Minister, Sailajanath said that N Kiran Kumar Reddy has been doing well, and he was cable of bringing back the party to power in the 2014 elections. He also denied the existence of groupism within the Congress party, and said that there were no differences between the Congress government and party.
Speaking about Gujarat elections, he said that the Congress party's votes have increased by about 10% to 12% which is a considerabale amount. Therefore, the results could not described as a plain defeat of the Congress party. (INN)
