Normal life in the 13 districts of the coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions remains affected, with several organisations continuing their protest against the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh for the 40th consecutive day.
The Samaikyandhra activists organised rasta rokos, took out rallies and staged dharnas at several places in the Seemandhra region. Massive protests were seen in Kurnool, Kadapa, Anantapur, Vizianagaram, East Godavari and other districts. The activists also conducted cultural programmes on the roads.
Besides raising slogans in favour of Samaikyandhra, the activists also demanded that the elected representatives, especially the union ministers and MPs, from the region resign from their posts and join their agitation. (INN)
