Upping the ante against the TDP government for its "failures concerning and apathy for farmers", YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy will undertake a two-day deeksha on June 5 and 6, and the second phase of his Rythu Bharosa Yatra will resume on May 11.
"The TDP has no moral right to celebrate its completing one year in office, as the term has been littered with failures on all fronts and the party has evaded all the poll promises, making a mockery of its election manifesto. To highlight the failures of the TDP government during the year, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy will undertake a two-day fast at a venue between Vijayawada and Guntur on June 5 and 6, while his Rythu Bharosa Yatra will continue from Ananthapuram on May 11," party leaders Ummareddy Venkateswarlu and Farmers' Cell Convener M V S Nagi Reddy told reporters on Sunday.
"Our Party President during the two-day deeksha will give a blow-by-blow account with full details and data of how Chandrababu Naidu has fooled farmers and other sections of the people during and after the elections, besides exposing his tall claims which lack feasibility. How the women's groups, students, youth and employees are being cheated will be revealed once again with full details. TDP has no moral right to have any victory celebrations," they said.
Jaganmohan Reddy had earlier gone on a two-day deeksha (fast) on March 31 and April 1 at Tanuku. (INN)
