Karimnagar MP B Vinod on Monday said that the Supreme Court's direction seeking completion of the EAMCET counselling by August 31 was neither against Telangana nor in favour of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons at the Secretariat Media Point, Vinod said that the Telangana government would react after the receipt of a copy of the Supreme Court's directions.
He said that the TRS government would ensure that the interests of Telangana students were protected through the proposed "Financial Assistance for Students of Telangana" (FAST) initiative, as it has discontinued the fee reimbursement schemes.
Vinod also admitted that there was shortage of power in Telangana, and that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was taking all steps to ensure proper supply of power to farmers in view of the Kharif season. (INN)
