Satya Sai Baba's Health Critical
DGP Aravinda Rao stated that the condition of Satya Sai Baba's health was critical, and that additional forces would be deputed to Puttaparthi to maintain security.
Describing the condition of spiritual leader Satya Sai Baba as "critical", Director General Of Police (DGP) K Aravinda Rao on Wednesday stated that Baba was not responding properly to medical treatment.
Talking to media persons here, the DGP stated that the state government has decided to depute additional forces to Puttaparthi, as the health of Satya Sai Baba deteriorated on Wednesday evening.
He also stated that police forces from various parts of district will be deployed at Prashanthi Nilayam, to maintain law and order, and to prevent untoward incidents.
According to Sathya Sai Baba Institute Of Medical Sciences Director A N Safaya, the condition of Sai Baba has worsened as he was not responding well to the treatment.
"Satya Sai Baba continues to be in a critical state of health. Although his vital parameters and indices are nearly normal, the condition of his liver and the intermittent episodes of low blood pressure are issues of concern," said a medical bulletin released by the hospital on Wednesday.
Stating that Satya Sai Baba's heart beat is slow, Safaya said that Baba was still on assisted ventilation to help his lungs, and on CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) to assist his kidney functioning.
A panel of doctors is watching him round the clock, and is giving all the necessary treatment to keep him in a stable state of health, added the statement. The doctors later said that Satya Sai Baba was suffering from a multi-organ dysfunction. (INN)
