Former union minister Sarve Satyanarayana on Saturday reiterated that the Congress would be saved in Telangana if the party high command removed TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy from his post.
Addressing mediapersons today, Sarve demanded that the high command immediately strip Reddy of his post and reform the state unit of the party.
Alleging that Reddy had lobbied for the CLP post despite the colossal failure of the party in the recent Assembly elections under his watch, Sarve demanded that the TPCC president start owning up to the debacle instead and pro-actively resign from the post.
He also said that it would not be possible for the party to win a decent number of Lok Sabha seats in the current shape that it was in.
Sarve expressed happiness over the appointment of a dalit in Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka as the CLP leader. He said that the appointment once again proved that the party always stood by the weaker sections of the society.
