Former union minister Sarve Satyanarayana,
who has been suspended from the Congress for making derogatory remarks against senior party colleagues, today alleged that Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy had joined hands with the TRS to ensure the defeat of the Congress in the recent Assembly elections.
He demanded that both AICC Telangana in-charge R C Kuntia and the TPCC chief should resign from their posts assuming moral responsibility for the defeat of the party.
Addressing the media today, Sarve alleged that allotment of tickets to the party candidates was delayed as Reddy was hand in glove with the ruling party. He also alleged that his own party leaders defeated him in the elections, and that they had also tried to ensure the defeat of TPCC Working President and Madira MLA Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.
Sarve also said that the party high command had sent money for campaigning by party candidates, but that very little of it had reached the candidates. He also claimed that the local leaders had sold off the MLA tickets in the elections.
He vowed to hold protest programs till Kuntia and Reddy resigned from their posts. He said that the people of the state wanted to defeat KCR and that the Congress had high chances of winning, but that Kuntia and Reddy had destroyed the party in the state.
