A delegation of YSR Congress Party leaders, led by its honorary president Vijayamma, called on Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh in Delhi on Tuesday.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Vijayamma said that the YSRCP delegation, in its four-page memorandum, has asked the Prime Minister to look into the implications of the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. She said the Centre must do justice to all regions, and reiterated that the Centre maintain status quo if it cannot do so.
Vijayamma said that issues like sharing of resources and revenues, protection of employees, and investments, were mentioned in the YSRCP memorandum.
She quoted the Prime Minister as saying that the present situation would not have arisen if former chief minister late Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy were alive. (INN)
