United AP Activists Protest In Kadapa

Samaikyandhra activists protest against the Centre for its likely move to grant statehood for the Telangana region.

The Samaikhya Andhra Joint Action Committee, on Thursday, organised protests in Kadapa and Anantapur districts, demanding that the Centre keep Andhra Pradesh united.

Several students took out a rally in Kadapa, and later tried to lay siege to the District Collectorate there. Similar protests were organised in Anantapur.

The protestors raised slogans against the Centre for its likely move to grant statehood for the Telangana region. They also condemned the political leaders from the region for their silence over the Centre's plans. (INN)
