Samaikyandhra Leaders Meet To Keep AP United

Pro-Samaikhyandhra leaders are conducting a meeting today at the Ministers' Quarters, and, around 30-40 Congress MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other leaders against AP-bifurcation are expected to be in attendance.
Hyderabad | 17th January 2013
The Congress high command's announcement that the issue of Andhra Pradesh's bifurcation will be sorted out by the 28th of this month has led to a flurry of meetings, protests, and undbridled speeches by all political leaders in the state.

The Congress party's encouraging stance on Telangana during the recent times is causing particular discomfort amongst political leaders who maintain that the growth of the state, and its people, depends on it not being split. These pro-Samaikhyandhra leaders are conducting a meeting today at the Ministers' Quarters, and, around 30-40 Congress MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other leaders against AP-bifurcation are expected to be in attendance.

According to sources, the meeting has 3 key objectives - to find a way to keep Andhra Pradesh united, to decide what to do in case Telangana state is granted, and, to discuss the possibility of splitting from Congress in the eventuality of AP-bifurcation.

Meanwhile, students from Osmania University have landed up outside the Ministers' Quarters to try and stop the meeting, but are facing stiff opposition from the police. These por-Telangana students claim that holding a meeting of this kind, when statehood for Telangana seems this close to being annouced, is "intentionally provocative", and should not be allowed.

THE MEETING IS A WELCOME STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, KEEPING THE STATE UNITED IS LIKE MAINTAINING A JOINT FAMILY IN THE LARGER INTEREST OF ALL.

Why do KCR and his allies want to divide the state? Is it for the sake of he becoing the CM, then why don't he merge his party in Congress like Chiranjeevi and get CM pot in return? United we stand-divided we fall. He should understand that.

It's not KCR alone who wants a separate state!! People supporting united state should do some reading on history of AP formation and also read some problems brought up by Telangana people.

The dividation of the state will increase the nextlites power.Because as we have seen the examples of chattisgarth, dividation makes state smaller and so total power becomes less. Some peoples & leaders have no work, they havenot any political developmental issue therefore they takes the help of such dividation point for their own political carrier. Such peoples uses the manpower of poor peoples for own political carrier. In real they havenot any worry about ordinary peoples in Telangana or Seemandhra but for just political publicity stunts they uses poor peoples. We can say such peoples as selfish. If Andhra gets divided it is good thing for neighbouring states, because now they can beat Andhra pradesh development now.so, I request to each & every person in Telangana ,Rayalseema & coastal Andhra that we are all telugu brothers,we are child of our teluguthalli, our language is one so stay United. Look as examples that all marathi are united in maharashtra ,all tamilians are united in tamilnadu, all kannada peples are united in karnataka , all Gujrathi are united in Gujrat, then why we dont? what is meaning of Unity in Diversity!
