CS Reviews Law And Order In AP

P K Mohanty holds a meeting on law and order and essential services, with the officials concerned, at Secretariat.

On the directions of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Chief Secretary Dr. P K Mohanty, on Saturday, held a meeting on law and order and essential services like RTC, energy and civil supplies, with the officials concerned, at Secretariat.

DGP B Prasada Rao, Addl. DG (Intelligence) Mahender Reddy, APSRTC MD A K Khan and other officials attended the meeting.

The Chief Secretary requested the DGP to ensure that police remain on high alert and maintain law and order in AP, in the wake of the Seemandhra agitation. He asked the DGP to direct the police and other security forces to protect government and private property, and maintain peace while disallowing violence.

The Chief Secretary also asked the APSRTC and the power sector to see that the transport and power situation is under control, and ti try to minimise the inconvenience caused to the general public. (INN)
