Anakapalle MP Sabbam Hari, on Sunday, condemned TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for supporting the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing a Samaikyandhra protest meeting at R K Beach in Vizag, Sabbam Hari alleged that it was due to Naidu's lack of vision that the Centre "conveniently" decided in favour of the formation of a Telangana state.
Stating that a majority of people are in favour of a united AP, he asked Naidu to join the Samaikyandhra agitation.
Sabbam Hari also slammed Congress president Sonia Gandhi for supporting the division of Andhra Pradesh. "By doing so, Sonia is defying the policy of her mother-in-law and late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who was against smaller states," he said.
"However, Sonia Gandhi would never be able to achieve the political goal that she eyes by bifurcating Andhra Pradesh," he added.
The Anakapalle MP announced that he would vote against the Telangana Bill in Parliament if his resignation is not accepted. (INN)
