Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy, on Saturday, accused TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu of inciting the people of the Seemandhra region for his own political gains.
Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party office, Gandra said that Naidu had not participated in the debate on the Telangana bill in the Assembly. However, the latter had made several statements outside the House to incite people over the statehood issue.
He said that Naidu was trying to mislead people in order to rebuild his shattered political image.
Gandra demanded that Naidu should tender an unconditional apology to the people of Seemandhra.
He also appealed to the Seemandhra people to not fear anyone or anything. Gandra Reddy assured them that the Seemandhra people's lives and properties in Telangana would always be safe and protected. (INN)
