T Agitators Disrupt Rythu Sadassu

Rythu Sadassu, a 5-day state-wide governmental initiative aimed at educating farmers about modern farming methods, was inaugurated by various Congress leaders at numerous venues on Tuesday.
Inaugurating a Rythu Saddasu in Mangalagiri, MLC Rayapati Srinivas informed those gathered that the program was a part of the government's effort to alleviate the grievances of the farming community. He revealed that Rs. 123 crore was released by the government to provide compensation packages to the ryots hit by unseasonal rains late last year.
MLA Ramreddy, who launched the Rythu Sadassu elsewhere in the state, assured cotton farmers that they would be supplied with the promised seeds for the Kharif season. He informed all present that more than 2 lakh packets of seeds had arrived, and that about 7 lakh more packets of seeds would reach the state by June 15th.
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, who inaugurated the Rythu Sadassu at Ibrahimpatnam, Ranga Reddy district, found himself cornered by the activists of the Madiga Reservation porata Sangham (MRPS) and of the Telangana issue, as well as gram sevaks.
All the 3 groups of agitators rushed to the dias, demanding that the CM address their issues.
Kiran Kumar Reddy expressed displeasure over the repeated attempts of various agitators to mar the program being held for the upliftment of the farmers of the state.
Later, the CM also distributed farming instruments and tractors among the farmers.
