Rs. 600 Cr Spent On Old City: CM
CM revealed that Rs. 600 crores had been spent thus far on the beautification of the region, after inaugurating a sports complex & an e-library in the region.

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday vowed to develop the Old City so that it would be at par with Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills. The CM was inaugurating various facilities whose construction costs total Rs. 55 crores.
The CM inaugurated the Salar-e-Millat Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi Sports Complex that comprises a swimming pool, a gymnasium, badminton courts, table-tennis courts, a yoga hall and a boxing hall. KKR drew smiles from his ministerial convoy by using his fingers to whistle when the plastic whistle handed to him failed to produce any sound.
The sports complex was reportedly built at a cost of Rs. 2.84 crores.
Kiran Kumar Reddy also inaugurated a Rs. 50 lakh round-the-clock e-library in the Barkas region.
The CM is also reported to have laid the foundation stone for the construction of a multi-tier parking lot at the site of the pension payment office in Motigalli.
Surveying the renovated Nizamia General Hospital, KKR informed all present that he granted Rs. 4 crores for the development of the hospital. When a member of the Nizamia Tibbi College raised the issue of residential facilities for male students, KKR assured him that Pricipal Secretary (Health) P V Ramesh would look into the request.
Addressing the people of the Old City gathered near the iconic Charminar, the CM revealed that Rs. 600 crores had been spent thus far on the beautification of the region, and that the state government had sanctioned an additional Rs. 2,000 crores worth of developmental works in the Old City.
The ministerial group that toured Old City on Sunday included M Maheedhar Reddy, Mukesh Goud, Danam Nagender and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi.
