GHMC Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain on Saturday informed that all 50 centres for the Rs. 5 per meal scheme would become operational by October 2.
Speaking after inaugurating the 9th centre at the Liberty crossroads, the Mayor said that the GHMC had taken up the innovative and unique program for feeding the poor and those living below the poverty line.
He said that almost all 50 centres had been identified, and that all the centres would be functioning by 2nd October.
Later, the GHMC would also launch the Rs. 1 breakfast scheme, for which proposals had already been prepared.
He said that the proposals would be placed before the Standing Committee for approval.
Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh said that he was proud to participate in this program, and appreciated the services being rendered by the Mayor and the GHMC Commissioner through this innovative scheme
He said that he had identified some areas in the Goshamahal Constituency for the subsidized meal scheme.
Deputy Mayor G Rajkumar, GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy and other senior officials also participated in the program. (INN)

SIR SUPER U HAD DONE A GOOD JOB....FOR POOR MIDDAY MEALS ....EVERY PERSON HAS Rs 5/-...so that every person fill their stomach....but Sir just make the thickness of the curry that all.....i had taste it it is good in taste....THANK U SIR
