Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday inaugurated the Strinidhi scheme which provides loans to women's groups in cities.
Inaugurating the scheme at Harihara Kala Bhavan here, Municipal Administration Minister, M Mahidhar Reddy said that the government has earmarked Rs. 250 crores for the Strinidhi scheme. He urged the women's groups in cities to make best use of them. Women's self-help groups (SHGs) of the state have attracted national attention, he said.
Chief Secretary of Municipal Administration B Syambabu, senior officials Ramachandran, G Vidyasagar Reedy, Azhar Sinha Krushna babu and others participated in the function. (INN)
