Puttaparthi Sai Baba's Yajurveda Mandir has been opened, and immense wealth has reportedly been uncovered. Baba's nephew J Ratnakar briefed the media on details of the valuables found inside.
While some reports go so far as to suggest that property worth thousands of crores has been discovered, the following is the count of wealth so far: 98 kgs of gold, 307 kgs of silver and Rs. 11.56 crores in cash. 3 lockers have been opened, out of which one contains foreign currency and important documents. Ratnakar said the cash would be deposited in the State Bank Of India (SBI).
However, Ratnakar has denied finding a will of Baba in the Yajurveda Mandir.

Puttaparthi Sai Baba's death on 24th April this year, his personal chamber, the Yajurveda Mandir, was locked up. Speculation about what the Mandir containes was finally laid to rest on Thursday evening, when members of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust and Satjayit, Baba's personal assistant, opened the doors to it.
The room was opened and the valuables inside counted in the presence of 2 retired judges and an assessor approved by the Income Tax Department. Reports say about 15 of Baba's disciples counted the wealth inside, and that it took them 36 hours to do so.
Puttaparthi Sai Baba is said to have devotees in about 180 countries, and he received a vast number of gifts from his followers. His millions of devotees around the world include the rich, the famous and the powerful.
The Yajurveda Mandir will be open to the public from the 15th of July onwards.
