Robbers Loot Gold From Train Passengers Near Palamur
A gang of highway robbers snatched chains from passengers on the Yashwanthapur-Kacheguda Express near the Divitipally railway station in Mahabubnagar district in the wee hours of Saturday.
A gang of highway robbers snatched chains from passengers on the Yashwanthapur-Kacheguda Express near the Divitipally railway station in Mahabubnagar district in the wee hours of Saturday.
The Kachiguda railway police said that there were three to four suspects involved in the offence, and were believed to be passengers of the train. The suspects had allegedly tampered with the signals at the Divitpally station, which is in a forest area, due to which the train had stopped at around 4 am.
The criminals allegedly snatched gold chains from outside the window and fled. There were six chains snatched, and five cell phones and cash of Rs 10,000 was also stolen by the culprits.
The railway police are examining CCTV footage and looking for other clues to nab the culprits.
