Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy today paid a courtesy call on former minister and senior Congress leader K Jana Reddy at the latter's residence.
Jana Reddy, who was the leader of Opposition in the first Telangana Assembly, congratulated Revanth Reddy on being elected as the Chief Minister, and felicitated him.
Both leaders were engaged in conversation for a while.
Jana Reddy, who is one of the senior-most politicians in Telangana and has worked in the cabinets of N T Rama Rao, Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, K Rosaiah and N Kiran Kumar Reddy, has not been active in politics for some time due to advancing age.
In the recently held Assembly elections, his son Jaiveer Reddy contested from the Nagarjunasagar Assembly constituency in Nalgonda district and was elected as an MLA.
Earlier, irrigation minister Uttam Kumar Reddy also called on Jana Reddy at his residence. Jaiveer Reddy felicitated Uttam Kumar Reddy on the occasion.
