Revanth Reddy Is Taking False Credit For 32,000 Jobs: KTR

The BRS leader said that Revanth Reddy only handed over the appointment letters for those jobs, and that it was former CM KCR who actually gave them.
Hyderabad | 25th May 2024
BRS working president K T Rama Rao today lashed out at CM Revanth Reddy's government for claiming to have created 32,000 jobs after coming to power in the State.

KTR released the details of the recruitment for about 32,000 jobs. He said that Revanth Reddy had only handed over the appointment letters for these jobs, and that it was former CM K Chandrashekar Rao who gave 32,517 jobs.

Speaking to media persons at Telangana Bhavan, KTR said that Revanth Reddy and the State's ministers were lying that they had given 30,000 jobs after coming into power. "If it is true that you have given 30,000 jobs, on which date did you give the notification? When was the written test conducted? I demand that Telangana's unemployed people be told when the results were given. But they don't answer our questions. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is uttering several lies on the jobs issue," he alleged.

Giving the details of the jobs he was referring to, he said, "In April 2023, a notification was issued for the recruitment for 9,210 TGT and PGT posts in gurukuls. The written examination was conducted in August 2023. The results were released in February 2024. It is a testimony to Revanth Reddy's political bankruptcy that he has taken credit for the filling up of these posts too. In April 2022, 17,516 vacancies in the police department were notified. The written exams were conducted in June 2023. The results were announced on October 4, 2023. The recruitment process was stopped due to the code of conduct for the Assembly elections. The recruitment for the police jobs clearly took place during KCR's tenure. Revanth Reddy is trying to take credit by giving appointment letters to the newly inducted police personnel."

He added that the notification for the recruitment for 5,204 staff nurse posts was issued in December 2022, and that the written examination were conducted on August 2, 2023, and the results announced on December 23, 2023. "Revanth Reddy claims to have given these jobs too. Likewise, the notification for 587 SI and ASI posts was issued in April 2022. The written test was conducted in April 2023, and the results were declared on August 7, 2023. But due to legal difficulties we were not able to give the appointment letters. Revanth Reddy has only given the appointment letters for the aforementioned jobs," KTR said.

He asserted that it was KCR who had filled the 32,000 vacancies, and the recruitment for these 32,000 vacancies stopped at the last stage due to some reasons. "If they are combined with the 1.6 lakh vacancies filled in the last nine-and-a-half years, the vacancies that KCR filled will be more than 1.92 lakh," he added.
