BRS official spokesperson Manne Krishank today alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his family members were involved in securing commissions and contracts in Karnataka, citing a complaint filed by a Karnataka MLA to the Lokayukta.
As per reports, Karnataka MLA Muni Ratna has accused Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar of favouring Telangana-based contractors linked to Revanth Reddy's relatives in exchange for a 15% commission.
Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan, Krishank claimed that Reddy often flip-flopped on his stance regarding business establishments.
He claimed that the KPC Project, which Revanth Reddy had previously criticized and was subject to IT raids after the Congress formed the government in Telangana, had now been linked to Revanth Reddy's brother Tirupati Reddy, who allegedly secured a major contract in Bengaluru.
Krishank also alleged that the CM, who once demanded the demolition of EMAAR properties, had now taken the responsibility of resolving EMAAR's issues in Hyderabad.
He said that the Adani group had been in discussions to acquire EMAAR India for Rs 5,000 crore, hinting at possible financial dealings.
The BRS spokesperson also said that several leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP leader Etala Rajender and BJP Floor Leader Mahesh Reddy, had accused Revanth Reddy's government of corruption.
He also raised concerns over why Central investigative agencies had not initiated any probe into these allegations, despite multiple corruption charges being leveled against the Telangana CM, and criticized Revanth Reddy of "political vendetta" for filing cases against KCR and KTR while avoiding scrutiny against his own government.
Speaking about the Srisailam tunnel incident, Krishank asked why BRS leader Harish Rao was stopped from entering the tunnel to oversee relief operations and booked for a case, while many BJP leaders were allegedly allowed to proceed without obstruction.
