The Siva Ramakrishnan Committee, appointed to identify the capital for the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh (Seemandhra), will submit its report to the Centre by August 31.
Speaking to media persons after visiting Rajahmundry and Vijayawada on Sunday, a committee member Rathin Roy said that the new capital for the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh would be decided after a detailed study of all the 13 districts.
He said that the committee would visit all the cities which are on the agenda, before finalising the report.
After a thorough study of all aspects like availability of land, water and other facilities, the committee will submit its report to the Union Home Ministry by August 31.
Roy dismissed reports that the Committee had already taken a decision on the new capital. (INN)
