The Telugu Desam Party, on Sunday, demanded the re-opening of the murder case of former minister Paritala Ravi.
Addressing a press conference at NTR Trust Bhavan, TDP MLA R Revanth Reddy raised suspicion over the CBI's investigation into the Paritala's murder case, in which Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was given a clean chit.
Since his father, Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, was the then Chief Minister, Jagan might have influenced the witnesses and tampered with the evidences, he suggested.
Revanth Reddy said it was not known when and where the CBI had questioned Jagan while it was investigating the murder case. Therefore, the CBI must re-open the case and enquire into the matter, he demanded.
The TDP leader described Jagan as a "financial psycho" who had amassed illegal wealth, and said that he, along with his men, was now targeting anyone who demands action against him.
He alleged the figure of Rs. 30,000 crore mentioned by the CBI in the charge-sheet was low when compared to the real worth of assets owned by Jagan.
He also asked the CBI to probe the assets of the ministers of YSR's cabinet who had issued GOs to favour Jagan.
Revanth Reddy said that Jaganmohan Reddy must surrender before the CBI and confess his crime on his own. (INN)
