Alleging that the Telangana government discriminated dalits, former MP Ponnam Prabhakar claimed that the State government insulted dalit IAS officer Pradeep Chandra by not extending his tenure as Chief Secretary of State.
In a press note issued today, Prabhakar alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao didn't bother despite knowing the fact that the tenure was nearing its end. KCR threw the blame on the Centre, he claimed.
The Chief Minister insulted the IAS officer who played a key role in creating the TS-iPASS, by abstaining from the latter's send-off Party, he claimed. This would have a deep impact on young dalit officials, he claimed and demanded that the State government to utilise Chandra's services by giving an important position.
Elaborating on the allegation of discrimination against dalits, the former MP said that the Chief Minister had failed on his promise to make a dalit the first CM of the State and also removed Dalit MLA T Rajaiah from Deputy Chief Minister post, he said. KCR also failed on his promise to give three acres of land to Dalits, he pointed out.
