Record No Of Applications For Liquor Shop Licenses

A record 41,111 tender applications were received by the Telangana excise department for 2,216 liquor shops in the state.

A record 41,111 tender applications were received by the excise department for 2,216 liquor shops in Telangana.

According to Excise Commissioner Chandravadan, on Tuesday alone as many as 23,750 applications were received.

The tenders for the shops will be finalized through a lottery system by the Collectors on September 23, for which all arrangements have been made.

The state exchequer is expected to make over Rs. 411 crores in revenue through the licenses.
