Assembly Speaker N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday administered the oath of office to 12 re-elected MLAs from the Telangana region.
The MLAs, 11 from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and one from the Bharatiya Janata Party, were sworn in by Kiran Kumar Reddy in his chambers at 11am.
Huzurabad MLA Eetela Rajender, who has been re-elected leader of TRS Legislature Party, took oath first. Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao, the deputy leader in House, followed him. BJP MLA Endala Laxminarayana also took his oath along with the TRS MLAs.
Earlier, the TRS MLAs gathered at Gun Park opposite Assembly, to pay tributes at the Telangana Martyrs' Memorial, before proceeding to take oath.
TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao had, on Sunday, convened a meeting to select the Legislature party leader.
The meeting unanimously elected Huzurabad MLA Eetela Rajender as legislature party leader and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao, the deputy leader in the House.
Koppula Eashwar (Dharmapuri) was named the secretary and E Ravinder Reddy (Yellareddy) the Whip at the meeting.
