Rayalaseema Express Derails in Nizamabad, None Injured
Several trains were affected on when the Tirupati-Nizamabad Rayalaseema Express derailed near Nizamabad - fortunately, no one was injured in the mishap.
The movement of several trains was affected on the Hyderabad-Nizamabad railway route on Saturday when two wheels of a coach of the Tirupati-Nizamabad Rayalaseema Express came off the tracks near Nizamabad leading to the train derailing. Fortunately, no one was injured in the mishap.
The derailing occurred at around 8 am between the Uppalavai and Sirnapally railway stations on the Secunderabad-Mudkhed section of the South Central Railway.
The incident, which happened on a single line track, led to the cancellation of the Secunderabad - CST Mumbai Devagiri Express, and partial cancellation of six other trains.
SCR officials stated that the passengers of the derailed train were promptly transported to their destinations through alternate means.
