Minister for IT and Industries K T Rama Rao today mourned the deaths of several passengers in Odisha's Balasore train accident, and extended his condolences to the bereaved families.
In a tweet, Rao said, "Aghast at the horrific train collision that killed 233 passengers and left many more wounded. My heartfelt condolences & prayers to all the families of the passengers who lost their loved ones and those affected (sic)."
He said that this was a tragedy of unheard of proportions that should have never happened, and asked the union government what happened to its proposed anti-collision devices.
