Minister Reviews Maintenance At 2 Mosques

Minority Welfare minister Md. Ahmedullah reviews the progress of the ongoing maintenance work at the Macca Masjid and the Shahi Masjid with regards to Ramzan.

Minorities Welfare minister Mohamamd Ahmedullah, on Tuesday, reviewed the progress of the maintenance works and arrangements at the Mecca Masjid and the Shahi Masjid in connection with Ramzan.

The minister advised the Joint Collector of Hyderabad to take immediate steps for engaging additional contractual labourers to clean out the garbage and left-over food that littered the grounds around the mosques after Iftar.

He also announced that an amount of Rs 1.17 crores has already been released to the office of the District Minorities Welfare Officer. Ahmedullah made it clear that the money will be utilised for maintenance-related activity.

Instructions have been issued to the DMWO, Hyderabad, and to other officers concerned to engage 10 more people to handle the cleanliness issue. (INN)
