GHMC issues directives to Haleem makers, outlining the necessary precautions that they should take with regards to the hygiene and the quality of the Haleem.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, on Tuesday, issued directives to Haleem makers to provide well-made, and hygienically prepared Haleem during the month of Ramzan.
In a meeting attended by leading Haleem makers, the GHMC officials instructed the Haleem traders to purchase the meat only from those slaughter houses that have been approved by GHMC.
Haleem sellers have also been instructed to set up their make-shift stalls or battis in places that will neither encroach on the space for pedestrians, nor create any other nuisance for the public in general.
The designated Food Safety Officers, Veterinary Officials and Asst. Medical Officers of Health were instructed to be vigilant during the entire month of Ramzan, and to check the quality of the Haleem being prepared by different vendors. The officials have been instructed to adhere to the norms of the Food Safety & Standard Act, 2006.
The meeting was attended by the representatives from Pista House, Cafe Bahar, Hotel Sarvi, Paradise, Bawarchi, Astoria, Kabab Inn and other such places. (INN)
